Westley David Swinning, affectionately known as Wes and lovingly called Bubba by his sister, passed away on January 17th, 2025, in Tampa, FL. He was born on November 6th, 1985, in Galion, OH.

Westley was preceded in death by his grandmother, Charlene Hudgens, and his mother, Michelle Luciano. He is survived by his sister, Richelle Nickell, and his Uncle Chuck.

A mind so bright, despite life's challenges, he loved programming games on his high-tech calculators. He could build intricate models with his K'NEX, including a Ferris wheel and a firetruck. His favorite pastimes included playing Nintendo, especially wrestling games, and listening to music. His sister used to jokingly call him a "Swifty" because he was a devoted Taylor Swift fan and humorously claimed her songs were all about him.

Westley had a unique perspective on life, often claiming he was rich and that the government owed him a "quadrillion" dollars. His sister would tease him about sharing his imaginary wealth. He was stubborn but had a sweet core, enjoying his daily 2-liter Mountain Dew and long walks around the neighborhood, rain or shine.

Every evening at 6 PM, Westley would call his sister, a ritual she will deeply miss. Though he may not have been whole on earth, his sister believes he is now complete in Heaven, reunited with their mom and granny.

Westley, you were loved beyond measure.

May you finally be at peace, sweet boy. I love you, Bubba.
