Mr. Walter J. Howell Sr., age 62, passed away on 12/13/2022 in Tampa, FL surrounded by his loving family.
Born September 21, 1960 in Tampa, FL, Walter was the son of the late Wiley and Carmen Howell.
Walter is survived by his 3 children Amber, Emily and Walter Jr., his grandchildren Jaylen, Ariel, Isaiah, Kylie and a soon to be new born grand baby, his sister Dorothy Brown, brother Lenny Howell, cousin Shannon Howell and joined in heaven with his sister Janet Rigdon.
Walter was an expert fire alarm specialist for the majority of his life, training others and providing services for many establishments all throughout Florida. He was also a man of many trades and was good at everything he did. The ultimate handyman.
Walter will forever be remembered as a hard worker who always put others before himself and a provider who would do anything for those he loved. Walter was a protective, caring, devoted father and “papa” who loved his children and grandchildren passionately. He was someone who could listen to your problems and offer advice, even if it wasn't what you wanted to hear; and understood you in a way no one else ever had before. He was loyal and supportive and never judged you for the decisions you made but rather supported your choices with love and compassion. His kindness and patience brought comfort to those around him when they needed it most.
Walter was a strong, brave, and loving person who had a profound impact on those around him. We'll miss your kindness, your humor, and your selflessness. Your presence will be missed by many who knew and loved you dearly.
“My dad is the greatest, most loving and caring, generous, self-less, smart, witty and understanding man I have ever known. He is INCOMPARABLE. He has always been my hero, my voice of reason; my whole entire heart. I hope he knows how deeply I love him. I am so thankful to have had the privilege of having him as my dad. Love always and forever, no matter what, Amber”
“My hero, my biggest supporter, the first man I ever loved, My Dad. You were so brave, and smart, and loved us kids like no other. You were selfless and kind and was never afraid to speak your mind. You taught me so much, and gave everything you had, and fought so hard till the very end. I’m so proud of you Dad.Your pain is gone, the suffering has ended, and God has you wrapped in his beautiful arms. Rest easy papa, until I see you again. Love always, Emily”
“Dad was a father to his three children.
He always put us before himself and never backed down from a challenge. No matter the obstacle, he would find a way to make it right.
He was compassionate, intelligent, and the wittiest person I've ever met. His terrible jokes, hardy laughs, and constant love will forever be missed by us all. I aspire to be the father he was to his children.Until his final breath, he never stopped loving us. We will forever be indebted to the profound impact he's had on our lives. We love you dad. With a heavy heart, your son, Walter.”
