Richard Wayne Epperson, the son of the late Mary Anna Epperson and Richard Blaine Epperson was born on March 10, 1953 in Lincoln Heights, Ohio. He was the third of twelve children and was preceded in death by his oldest brother Forrest Epperson. Richard passed away on Friday, December 15, 2023 in Tampa, Florida.
Richard attended elementary school at St. Martin de Porres in Lincoln Heights and was known as Wayne or Ricky. He served as an altar boy for many years and graduated from Princeton High School in Sharonville, Ohio in 1971. Wayne enjoyed gardening, salsa dancing and partying with his family. He worked as a landscaper and took pleasure in growing his own vegetables. Wayne also appreciated being a big brother to his younger siblings and could always be counted on for much needed advice and support.
Wayne leaves to cherish his memory: a devoted companion of many years, Barbara Powell; three brothers: Carey Epperson (Pat), Aaron Epperson and Terrence Epperson (LaJuan); seven sisters: Adrienne Fitzgerald (Carlton), Karen Woolfolk (Thomas) Melinda Humphrey, Cassandra Daniels (Glenn), Kimberly Hairston (Michael), Michelle Epperson and Deidre Epperson along with a host of nieces, nephews other relatives and friends.
