In loving memory of Richard Arlen Muller
December 3,1942 - August 28, 2023
Richard Arlen Muller, born on December 3, 1942, peacefully departed from this world
on August 28, 2023, after a courageous battle with liver cancer. He passed away in the
comfort of his home, surrounded by loved ones.
Richard is survived by his devoted wife, Joyce, and their children: Sherry, Adam,
Brian, Fred, Richard, Becky, Rachel and Samantha. He also leaves behind many
grandchildren and great-grandchildren. His departure leaves an irreplaceable void in
their lives and his memory will forever be cherished.
When reflecting on Richard's life, his loved ones recall the complexity of their
relationship. They remember the corner Dad jokes that brought laughter to their lives
and his affinity for snap-on western shirts.
Richard possessed a remarkable skill set. He was a master of construction, having
spent many years as a general contractor, proud of the homes he built and the projects
he completed. He also had a knack for selling, with a memorable stint as a car
salesman, earning a reputation among friends and acquaintances. He bought and sold
various items, from cars to boats, houses and campers, touching the lives of many.
Richard's life journey took him from Florida to different places, embracing change
and reinvention as he went along. He believed that with God's guidance anyone could
transform themselves and their circumstances. His faith was unwavering and he
encouraged his family to turn to God.
Richard was a proud veteran who instilled the values of service and patriotism in his
children. He stood tall as an American and inspired his sons to follow in his footsteps by
committing to serve their great nation.
In honor of his military service, a flag was received from the VA, which his sons
presented to their mother, Joyce, during the service. humility was well known and he
wished to avoid any fuss. In conclusion, taps were played to pay tribute to his service
and dedication.
Richard Arlen Muller will be deeply missed by all who had the privilege of knowing
him. His love, wisdom, and potato salad will forever hold a special place in the hearts of
those who loved him. May he rest in peace.
