Randall (Randy) S. Rickard, died in Tampa, Florida on March 28, 2025 at the age of 75. He was born in Alliance, Ohio on April 25, 1949 to Greta and James I. Rickard III.

While attending Evanston High School in Illinois, he enjoyed art class and set many school records in track and field. But it was his bowling prowess that landed him the love of his life Cheryl at a bowling alley.

The two were married on December 21, 1972 in Canton, Ohio. After a short stint as a computer programmer for Avon Products and as sales representative for Society Cookware, he found his calling in the construction industry. He would eventually move his family to Florida where he started Randall’s Constructors and Remodelers. He enjoyed great success in the residential and commercial building sectors, including remodeling the Tampa Montgomery Ward store.

However, most people in the community will remember him for his elaborate Christmas decorating, where he hand-crafted most of the items on display. His Christmas displays were featured several times in the Tampa Tribune and on the local evening news.

He is survived by his loving wife Cheryl, and son Jason,(Melody) and brother James (Denise), along with cousins, nieces and nephews sisters and brothers who he acquired by marriage, whom he cherished, and close friends also dear to him.

A celebration of life will be held on what would have been his 76th birthday:

April 25, 2025 beginning at 6:00 pm, at “the home that Randy built."
