Jerry Couch Morris passed away peacefully at his home in Tampa, FL Mar 21, 2025, surrounded by his family.
Jerry was loved by many in different walks of life. His job adventures took him from 82nd Airborne where he was a paratrooper, to a grave digger, a dog catcher, a long-distance truck driver where he worked for Meadow Steel in Tampa, FL for 38 years to his retirement.
Pop enjoyed many things in life, such his family, making birdhouses with each of his grandkids, outdoor skating, fishing at Ballast Point in Tampa, volunteering at the FL Sate fair, Seminole War Foundation Reenactments and doing his demonstrations about soldier rations, as well as singing with Sacred Heart singers at the Primitive Baptist Church.
In his last days, Jerry longed for his late wife Linda Morris, they are now joined again where they can “rest in peace” together, forever. One of the last things Pop said, “Life ain’t easy when you are fat and greasy”, those that knew him, have heard him say this often.
