James (Jim) Alan Seamon died of natural causes in his Tampa residence on May 28th, 2023.

He was 72 years old born on February 12,1951. He is survived by his brother and sister-in-law Robert and Susan Seamon, his sister Margaret Seamon, his two daughters Jennifer Jassem, her 4 children and Sarah Dallas

Jim was born just outside of Cleveland Ohio where he lived until retiring from General Electric: Lighting Division in 2013 and moved to Tampa, Florida.

Jim was also a veteran of the U.S. Navy being honorably discharged in 1975.

Anyone who knew Jim knows he loved music, specifically playing the guitar, every day of his life. I’m sure he would agree with the quote, “Music, once admitted to the soul, becomes a sort of spirit, and never dies. Music touches us emotionally, where words can’t. Where words fail, music speaks. Music is the language of mankind”. I hope we all can keep some music in our soul in remembrance of him.

His ashes will be spread on the water as per his wishes in a ceremony with the family and a few close friends on Father’s Day. Sunday, June 18th, 2023, in the gulf near New Port Richey, Florida.

There will also be a celebration of life on Wednesday June 21st, 2023, at the Parrot Head meeting @ Whiskey Joe’s on the Courtney Campbell Causeway.

In lieu of flowers, please donate to the special needs bowling league operated by his daughter, Jennifer, Bowling Buddies. This group provides support for local special needs children including his own grandchildren who have autism spectrum disorder. Thank you.
