It is with deep sadness and heavy hearts that we announce the passing of our beloved Henry “Trey” Finch III, who left us on March 5, 2025 at the age of 34. Trey was a man of great strength, warmth, and dedication, and his loss leaves a profound emptiness in the lives of all who knew him.

Born on March 26, 1990, Trey Finch spent his life surrounded by love, respect, and a commitment to those he held dear. Most importantly, he was a devoted husband to Maia Murphy Finch, a partnership that was built on an unshakeable foundation of mutual love and deep respect. From the first moment they met, Trey Finch made it clear that his love for Maia Finch was endless. Their bond grew stronger with every year they spent together, filled with laughter, adventures, and unwavering support. Trey was not only a loving partner but also a caring friend and confidant, always there when needed with a listening ear, a kind word, or a simple gesture to brighten the day.

Outside of his home, Trey was dedicated to his work in the maritime industry, a field that brought him immense joy and purpose. He worked with passion and precision, earning the admiration and respect of his colleagues. To him, his job was more than just a job; it was a reflection of his spirit and his commitment to excellence. His heart was always with the maritime world, and he poured his energy into it with dedication.

His colleagues often spoke of his unparalleled work ethic, his integrity, and his willingness to mentor others. Trey was described by many as…. honest…. decent…genuine…smart…a true gentleman. He had a unique way of making everyone feel important, valued, and capable. He found fulfillment in knowing that his work made a difference, and he took extraordinary pride in everything he did.

Trey leaves behind a legacy of love, laughter, and devotion. He will be deeply missed by his wife, Maia Finch, his parents Henry Finch Jr and Judy Paulette Finch and his sister Somer Fendley. Trey also leaves behind his family, friends, and colleagues who were lucky enough to know and love him. Though he is no longer with us, his love, and the lessons he taught us will remain in our hearts forever.

A celebration of Trey’s life will be held on May 18th at 6:30PM

at Crown and Bull 319 Main St, Dunedin, FL 34698 to honor his memory.
