Frances (Frank) Lewis Montressor, 82, of Tampa, Florida, passed away peacefully on January 28, 2025. A beloved husband, father, grandfather, and Marine Crops Veteran, Frank lived a life full of service, love, and simple joys.
Born on March 15 in Hershey, Pennsylvania, Frank served in the United States Marine Corps
with honor. After his service, he spent time in Washington, Oregon, Georgia and Michigan,
spending the last 10 years in Tampa. He was a steady and devoted presence in the lives of his family and friends, always ready with a listening ear, a helping hand, or a corny joke or two.
Frank had a deep love for the outdoors, and his fishing trips brought him immense peace. Yet, perhaps his greatest passion was his love for chocolate, especially his daily indulgence in a bowl of chocolate ice cream. His sweet tooth was only rivaled by his sweet nature, and he was known for sharing this love with his family and friends.
Frank is survived by his loving wife, Jenni; daughters Erica and Amber, Son in Law Matt; his
cherished grandson Bailey, Daughter in Law Shannon, his nieces and nephews - Mark, Stacey, Sharon, and Deanna. He was preceded in death by his parents, sister and by his son Tim, whose loss he carried with quiet strength.
A private service will be held to honor Frank’s life.
In lieu of flowers, the family requests that donations be made to Fisher House of Bay Pines VA Healthcare Systems or to the Wounded Warrior Project in his memory.
Frank will be deeply missed, but his legacy of love, loyalty, and laughter will live on in the
hearts of all who knew him.
