David Drew Linthicum

David Drew Linthicum, 64, passed away on October 29, 2023, in Tampa, Florida, after a battle with lung cancer. Drew was born in Manhattan on February 27, 1959, and spent most of his youth in Tarrytown, New York.

His talent was evident at an early age, and his parents got him an interview at the Boston Conservatory of Music, but that was not his dream. Drew knew what he wanted, and he wanted to make music and be a “rock star.” And as Providence would have it…he became a rock star and lived his dream. He jammed with some of the best, including the legendary Bob Marley, and had a short stint with Billy Idol. He had two passions – music and fishing.

He is survived by his brother Jason Linthicum and his partner Lili Stoian, Palm City, FL; his stepmother Anne Lalley, Hobe Sound, FL; dear and long-time friend, Pamela Lynn, St. Petersburg, FL; drummer Billy Mills; his beloved dog, Boo Boo along with countless friends.

He is predeceased by his parents, David and Karen Linthicum, and maternal and paternal grandparents.

A Celebration of Life will be celebrated this spring at Big Pass in Tampa Florida.
